Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED/FA, BLS, ACLS, PALS, The Challenge, PEARS, Onsite Classes

Every class is led by experienced and/or active-duty first responders who bring current, real-life experience into the classroom. Our training is hands-on, engaging, and in-depth, designed to build both competence and confidence.

Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED/First Aid

  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification is an American Heart Association (AHA) course designed to provide essential emergency response training.

    • 2-year certification

    • 3–6 credit hours available

  • Classes:

    • CPR/AED/FA:

      • 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM -

        • 1-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

    • CPR/AED only:

      • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

    • First Aid only:

      • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Location:

    • Child Start Training Center, 1002 S. Oliver, Wichita, KS 67218, southeast lower level.

  • Course material:

    • CPR/AED

      • Adult, child, and infant CPR

      • High-quality chest compressions and rescue breathing

      • AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use and safety

      • Choking relief for adults, children, and infants

      • Scene safety and emergency response

      • Patient assessment and activation of EMS

      • Recognition of cardiac arrest and respiratory emergencies

      • Hand on skills practice and scenario-based training

    • First Aid:

      • Bleeding control (direct pressure, bandaging, tourniquets basics)

      • Wound care and infection prevention

      • Burns (thermal, electrical, chemical basics)

      • Fractures, sprains, and musculoskeletal injuries

      • Medical emergencies (stroke, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions)

      • Shock recognition and management

      • Environmental emergencies (heat/cold illness basics)

      • Hands-on skills practice and scenario-based training

Basic Life Support
(BLS)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an American Heart Association (AHA) course that provides for healthcare providers and others requiring CPR training.

    • 2-year certification

    • Time:

      • Thursdays from 6-9 pm

    • Location:

      • Child Start Training Center, 1002 S. Oliver, Wichita, KS 67218 on the southeast lower level

  • Course material:

    • adult, child, and infant CPR

    • high-quality chest compressions

    • rescue breathing and ventilations

    • AED use

    • bag-mask ventilation

    • choking relief

    • scene safety

    • patient assessment

    • opioid-associated emergencies

    • Hands-on skills practice, a written exam, and scenario based evaluation.

  • BLS add on option for ACLS and PALS:

    • If you are enrolled in an ACLS or PALS course, BLS may be completed during that same session—no separate booking is required. When registering, select the “BLS Class” add-on at checkout to combine courses.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is an American Heart Association (AHA) course designed for healthcare providers who respond to pediatric emergencies, respiratory compromise, and cardiac arrest situations involving infants and children.

    • 2-year certification

    • Time:

      • Mondays from 8 am - 2 pm

      • If Mondays do not work and you have taken PALS before, see "The Challenge" option below!

    • Location:

  • Course material:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is an American Heart Association (AHA) course designed for healthcare providers who manage cardiovascular emergencies, respiratory emergencies, and cardiac arrest situations.

    • 2-year certification

      • Fridays from 8 am - 2 pm

ACLS, PALS and BLS
"The Challenge"

  • This is the MOST time efficient way for medical professionals to receive their credentials if they've taken ACLS, PALS and BLS before.

  • What is "The Challenge"?

    • A challenge consists of taking an online pre-course/self-assessment (no pretest for BLS) and hands-on skills check off with our head instructor and LifeSaver Learning president Mike Ferguson. 

    • Time:

      • Anytime! Schedule with Mike

      • Length:1-2 hours

  • Content:

    • PALS and ACLS - a series of Megacode scenarios​ lead by Mike that caters to either ACLS or PALS content.

    • BLS - Hands-on skills practice, a written exam, and scenario based evaluation.

  • Steps:

    • Take an online pre-test below (non bls pretest)

    • Submit results to Mike@lifesaverlearning.com

(PEARS)

  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification is an American Heart Association (AHA) course designed for healthcare providers and responders who care for pediatric patients experiencing respiratory distress, shock, or cardiopulmonary emergencies.

  • We provide onsite classes for large groups who want the convenience of class at their facility.
